Brewery & Restaurant in Prestitz
Prestitz (I know, I know! It is a real name of a place!) is a lovely small town in the South-West of Bohemia, which is known best for their especially delicious breed of pigs and for presumably the second biggest baroque structure in Bohemia, built by Kilian Ignac Dietzenhofer. Also it is a place where Jakub Jan Ryba lived – famous Czech composer and Josef Hlavka – architect and wise man, who significantly supported the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic (well, he basically founded it). Maybe it seems to be enough for a small town like that. But council decided to start brewing delicious beer in addition and asked students of the Ladislav Sutnars Faculty in Pilsen to help them designing a visual style for the new restaurant and brewery. As brewing beer was a tradition in Prestitz, I decided to make design, which will be more pointing to the good old times. I chose a slab typeface, which suits beer very well in my opinion, and combined it with color and illustrations characteristic for each type of a beer.
